Tobiankeng
Tobiankeng is the nation's origin of loquats. Loquats are grown in many places on
this hilly terrain, so it is an important area for the production of loquats in the
nation. Apart from loquats, the succulent local litchis and longan are also famous
nationwide. |

Bat Tunnel
In the era of the Japanese occupation, the tunnel they built for cultivation was a
dark long and narrow tunnel. The winding tunnel would let in no light and was deep and
mysterious. The tunnel, with a clear spring flowing through it, was a popular site for the
adventurous; many bats came to stay here, so it was dabbed "Bat Tunnel".
However, the tunnel has collapsed so one cannot wonder in deep, the spring has dried up
and the bats have migrated elsewhere. |

Public Leisure Park
After the 9/21 earthquake, the Agriculture Association under Executive Yuan and the
Taiping District Government jointly constructed at Dongbian pavilions, walking paths view
points, barbeque spots and spots for playing in the water; the park has become the leisure
site for the farming villages in the mountainous area. |

Ancient Farm Village Culture Museum
The Ancient Farm Village was established in 1985. Zhang Youji, the master of the village,
collected over 2000 relics from the early stages in Taiwan. At the beginning, he could
only pile them up in his own home, but with assistance from relevant organizations and
with the aid of funding, they were organized and exhibited. The items on display are of a
wide variety: include barns, stone mills, washing boards, cow-cart wheels, bicycles, etc.;
one can even find the head of the bridge - Taiping's landmark that collapsed in the
earthquake. |

Nanquohang (Little Cassia Forest)
Nanquohang's Little Cassia Forest canyon area is rich in fossil resources. The
magnificent view of tumbling rocks and the flowing of the spring along the winding
mountains are the scenery attractions here. Liken to the scenery in Cassia Forest in
mainland China, this place is named as Little Cassia Forest. |
